about: ..it's a simple story, and not one that begs much pity. stojun'to was born somewhere free. yet most of the keeper's life, garlean occupation loomed overhead. already of poor stock and low class, fighting and stealing had been all he could rely on from the get-go. when imperalist war-machines took to the heavens above and armored waves upon waves of conscripts took to the streets, this saved his life and damned his soul all the same.
it became evident quickly that conquest was different than standard war; resistance and guerilla warfare taxed the efforts of the occupier, and their redoubled punishments demanded of the rebels fiercer fighters. jun was happy to slip to either side of that fence, plying their trade wherever there was coin or opportunity. they fought for the invader; they took up the cause of the downtrodden. it was never about ideology. there was no concern for anything other than the battle and the pay; there was belonging in duty and community huddled in the foxhole, in the trench. and, more than anything, he was good at it.
but that was long ago now ... the war's over, and all he has left is the muscle memory. he roams the world like a lost soul and lingers like a spectre, plying his trade wherever it still can be. with ever-the-more peace spreading through the realm and ever-the-fewer wars to wage, it should be no surprise that, from time-to-time, he finds himself a tool for purposes perhaps less-than noble. even still, he's thankful to be aimed at something. after all, what good is a gun with nothing to shoot at?

skulking in secrecy: stojun'to is defined by their secrecy and this is no secret. however, what few realize is the extent of the games he plays in the shadows. jun is often playing an angle, and if your character has something that may benefit them, you're free to let me know; he's always seeking a target.morals for sale, cheap: though the war has ended, the fight never does. do you need someone to do something you can't yourself, either because it's dangerous or dubious in its righteousness? pay well, and you have a solution. mercy, discretion, and loyalty all cost extra.yesteryear's sins, today: [EXCLUSIVE: CITIZENS OF NAGXIA, DALMASCA, WERLYT, BOZJA] the world is so small, without imperial blockades and trench lines fracturing it; it felt so wide, when he walked it under march of war. he's been so far, and done so much. perhaps he is the face of your particular suffering; perhaps, in his indiscretions and his flings, you are a child out of wedlock and abandoned by a sinister sire. whatever your reasons, you recognize him and what he's done. to you, or to your home, or — perhaps if you met after he left the empire — what he's done in spite of the bondage to which he'd swore fealty.broken chains: [EXCLUSIVE: GARLEANS, IMPERIAL SOLDIERS, FORMER SUBJECTS OF IMPERIAL OPPRESSION] conscripts, soldiers, citizens. any who once lived under the empire's abuse. when he clocks someone who shares this experience with him, he seems eager to connect. to speak of their linked tragedies and histories. yet, he doesn't seem interested in just memories... he's looking for something, or someone. deadman walking: [EXCLUSIVE: GARLEANS, ILSABARDIANS, REAPERS, VOID-ALIGNED CHARACTERS] a whiff of death lingers on the breeze in his trail; not the fresh scent of a body, but the ageless stench of souls. perhaps you are familiar with the stories of reapers. perhaps you know their art. yet, he walks amongst the fields of dead with no sickle to reap; it's clear that he is no lemure. what has he sewn, and what fruit does he expect to bloom — beautiful and bloody, bloody red? |
